Linda Honey

CEO and Chief Archaeologist

Linda Honey M.A. has approximately four years of archaeological work experience. Ms. Honey began her career as a consulting archaeologist in Southern California in 2009 upon completion of her Master’s Degree in Maritime Archaeology at Flinders University of South Australia (2006) and Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology with a Minor in Sociology at the University of San Diego (2005). She has worked on a wide range of projects including numerous Phase I surveys, leading a six-month field position recording previously unidentified cultural resources with a Trimble GPS (e.g. prehistoric points, pottery shards, manos and metates, petroglyphs, mines, structures, historical sites, etc.). She has also completed Phase I technical reports for Kern, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles Counties. Linda has worked in construction and compliance monitoring for Southern California Edison and LADWP, artifact conservation, and pollen analysis.

Gilbert Goodlett

Lead Biologist

Mr. Goodlett has an engineering and biological background and has been working as a field biologist for over 25 years. He has served as the Lead Biologist on several projects and as a field biologist on many more in several industries including electrical transmission, solar, wind, pipelines, oil and gas development, and even a government sponsored robotic race for autonomous vehicles. He has directly managed teams of 65 biologists in the field. He has been an invited speaker at the Desert Tortoise Council’s “Handling Techniques Workshop” for several years teaching biological monitoring on construction projects and is author or co-author of numerous publications. Mr. Goodlett has also developed several environmental training programs including video productions for small to large scale projects and is a helicopter certified flight instructor.

Denise LaBerteaux

Senior Biologist/Botanist

Denise LaBerteaux has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Zoology and a Master of Science Degree in Biology. She has over 33 years of experience as a field biologist in the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts. Her work includes wildlife and plant inventories, sensitive species surveys, baseline botanical studies, population monitoring, habitat evaluations, impact assessments, mitigation planning, and environmental compliance monitoring. She is an authorized desert tortoise biologist and is permitted to conduct surveys for Mohave ground squirrels, Palm Springs round-tailed ground squirrels, Southwestern Willow Flycatchers, Inyo California Towhees, and Yellow-billed Cuckoos. She is experienced in surveying for Burrowing Owls, Least Bell’s Vireos, and bird nests and has a Master Bird Banding permit. Ms. LaBerteaux is very familiar with the flora of the Mojave Desert and has conducted many rare plant surveys. She has also collected quantitative vegetation data for several government research projects.
